The CTA does not have restrooms at its rail stations for a variety of reasons. One reason is that most stations are located in densely populated areas, which makes it difficult to find space to build restrooms. Additionally, CTA Station restrooms would be expensive to build and maintain, and they would likely be used by non-CTA riders, which is not an efficient use of resources. The CTA also does not want to encourage loitering at stations, which can create safety and security concerns. Although there are no CTA rail station restrooms, there are restroom facilities available at some bus terminals.
